Entertainment for Children in Tokyo and surrounding areas.

Want to entertain your children during the holidays. Tokyo, Yokohama and other areas in Japan are great venues to go and explore. Why not consider taking a day or weekend trip with your child or children, to sites in the mountains,seaside areas and just around the city. Here are some suggestions for your interest.

TOKYO DISNEYLAND
One of Japan’s most popular entertainment destinations, you can even stay at the Disney Hotel and enjoy the evening Light Parade . Fireworks are cancelled during the COVID.

CUP-NOODLE MUSEUM
Experience making your own cup-noodle from scratch from making the dough into noodles and the finished product. Located in Yokohama, perfect for strolling around Motomachi and the Chinese section of town.

KIDZANIA TOKYO
Children can experience hand work while having fun as they learn different careers, through role playing. Located near Toyosu Station.

GHIBLI MUSEUM
Invite yourself into a maze like building, discover the fun of animation. Get a ride on the CatBus, just like Totoro. Nearby is Inogashira Park with a swan boat ride on the lake.

UENO ZOO
Welcome to Japan’s oldest zoo, since 1882, the premise is over 14 hectare with various pavilions. Right on the premises are Art Galleries and Museums for the entire family to enjoy.

HAKKEIJIMA SEA PARADISE
On an island right by Yokohama there is an amusement park with many rides, aquariums and sea animal shows. Can spend the entire day enjoying what they offer.

TAMA ZOOLOGICAL PARK
Open space zoo with various attractions from ;
ASIAN GARDEN ZONE
Orangutan skywalk, Asian Swamp, Indian rhinoceros and many others.
AFRICAN GARDEN ZONE
Lion Bus, large Savannah with Zebras,Pelicans,Giraffes and many more.
AUSTRALIAN GARDEN ZONE
Koala House has wombats, emus, sugar gliders and many koalas.
INSECTARIUM
Building is modeled after a dragonfly, and houses a huge collection of butterflies and grasshoppers.

RAILWAY MUSEUM
Located in Saitama, wonderful for a rail enthusiast`s Full size trains such as steam and diesel locomotives and retired Shinkansen, passenger and freight cars. Train simulators of actual lines can be experienced. Large outdoor circuits with rideable mini trains are available. You can also view the largest Dioramas in Japan at the location

TOKOROZAWA AVIATION MUSEUM
The Train museum and Aviation museum are both located in Saitama. When you arrive you are welcomed by the original Air Nippon YS-11A propeller passenger plane made in 1969. Alongside a Curtiss-Wright C 46 Cargo plane is on display. Saitama is the perfect venue for the museum as it was the first Japanese airstrip. Sometime ago it was used by the US military until it was returned back to Japan.
The main exhibit hall has vintage aircrafts, both US and Japanese, such as Biplanes, Helicopters, Flying Machines. Also a hands-on flight simulator for the next pilot from the family.
Get a first glance on the History of Japanese aviation.

SANRIO PUROLAND
Also known as Hello Kitty Land, is an indoor theme park. Theme rides using popular characters such as My Melody, Jewelpet, Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll. The gift shop on the premises has a large selection of character goods. Daily fireworks display showcases a boat ride similar to Disneyland Small world, rides around Keroppis Pond and Badtz Marus Cave.
Much fun for the young girls.
